Ibrahim Shabeen, Partner
With over 12 years of experience in the profession, he has worked in various fields, including external auditing, taxation, business advisory, ERP implementation, risk management, and internal auditing.
Shabeen is one of the key personnel of the firm. Prior to joining us, he worked in Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA) for 04 years where he was responsible for supervising and managing tax audit teams as the Manager of Large Taxpayer Audit. By handling complex tax and accounting issues, Shabeen has gained ample knowledge and experience about the Maldivian taxation and accounting issues.
Shabeen holds a BSc (Hons) Degree in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brooks University, UK and is a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). He is a registered auditor and is a member of the Technical and Standards Committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Maldives (CA Maldives) and chairs the Insolvency Committee of the South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA).

Hamdulla Hussain, Partner
Hamdulla started his taxation career at the Department of Inland Revenue (DIR) in 2002 and later joined the Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA). During his time at DIR, Hamdulla was mainly involved in auditing of commercial banks that were subject to the Bank Profit Tax – the only direct tax then imposed in the Maldives. Upon inception of the MIRA and the introduction of Business Profit Tax, Hamdulla was transferred to the objections and appeals unit where he was responsible for reviewing audits and assessments issued by the MIRA auditors, following objections made by taxpayers.
Hamdulla is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).

Ahmed Shifau, Partner
Shifau started his professional career at Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA) where he worked for over 05 years and held various positions at the Audit Department. During this time, he was responsible for guiding, supervising and managing tax audit teams. After leaving MIRA, he worked for an external audit firm for over a year which mainly deals with audit and assurance, tax services and bookkeeping advisory services
By having involved in tax auditing and external auditing services, Shifau has gained ample knowledge and experience in Maldivian taxation, accounting issues and auditing.
Shifau holds a BSc (Hons) Degree in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brooks University, UK and is a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and a registered auditor at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Maldives.

Hassan Mohamed, Assistant Director
Hassan is a member of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) with over 07 years of experience in the accounting and auditing profession. He worked at Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA) as an assistant auditor for over 2.5 years where he performed tax audits of large taxpayers. Hassan has also worked as a credit controller at Medianet Pvt Ltd for 1 year.
Before joining Prudent Chartered LLP he also worked in another external audit firm. Having involved in accounting and audit services he has gained extensive experience in accounting and auditing services. He also regularly engages in the preparation of damage valuation reports.

Hassan Shah, Assistant Director
Shah joined the firm in April 2024 as an Assistant Director. He is involved in advising clients on accounting, finance and tax related matters. He is also prominently involved in carrying out external and internal audits of SMEs’ and large scale enterprises in various industries.
Most of his experience originates from the fields of tax and auditing. He has worked in Maldives Inland Revenue Authority for 4 years where he carried out audits and investigations. Later, in 2016 he joined CTL Strategies LLP, a law firm where he headed business services practice and tax accounting services. He also managed tax audits, tax investigations and acquired extensive experience in tax computations at CTL Strategies.
He also held the role of Chief Financial Controller at Agro National Corporation, a State Owned Enterprise focused on advancing the farming and agricultural sector in the Maldives. During his tenure at Agro National Corporation, he oversaw external audits, various internal audits, supervised annual budget processes, and managed the daily operations of the Finance and Accounting Department.
Notable experiences of Shah in his practice areas include:
- Handled the liquidation of a subsidiary company of one of the leading medical supply distributors in the Maldives.
- Advising and handling the restructuring process of a sizeable domestic hardware supplier in the Maldives.
- Leading external audit of large business entities operating in the Maldives.
- Carrying out procurement special audit of an SOE
Shah is a fellow of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). His areas of interests include audits, investigations, tax and accounting.

Aminath Leen Lizam, Senior Associate
Leen has worked in Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA) as a Senior Tax Officer, where she performed tax audits of taxpayers including resorts, wholesalers and retailers operating large scale operation in the Maldives. Planning audits, undertaking risk analyses, evaluating the accuracy of tax declarations, and reporting to high management were among her duties at the MIRA. She also has worked at Maldives Transport and Contracting Company in the accounts section of the logistical and operations department.
She completed her accounting internship at BDO Adelaide and Platinum Accounting Australia. Additionally, for more than a year, she actively participated in fund-raising for Communication Language and Culture Network (CLCN), an Australian nonprofit.
Leen graduated from the University of Adelaide in Australia with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting and Corporate Finance. She is an Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) student at the moment.
